Jordan and Beckie were not going to let a pandemic prevent them from getting married at their church St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish in Kansas City and then celebrating with their close friends and family at their own home in their backyard.
Early on Beckie and Jordan talked to me extensively on what to do about their wedding day due to the pandemic. Being in the hospital field it was extremely important to them to make sure everything was safe and secure. They decided to postpone their day to next year, but still, get married. And let me tell you, for a pandemic, they did just about everything they could do right. Everyone was masked during the ceremony. For their reception at their home, they had their family stay for their first dance and cake cutting and then invited their friends over after their family left. They required friends to be masked while indoors and provided huge tubs of hand sanitizer. I cannot thank these two enough for being so caring during this chaotic time. And also, this day was nothing like they expected to be but it was so absolutely perfect. I loved photographing every second of it.
I’m excited to get to spend the day with them again next year.
