Nick and Liz’s wedding was an absolute dream! It was filled with so many heartfelt touches that made the day uniquely theirs (scroll to the bottom to see all the beautiful details!). The Smiths’ joyful energy and their love for each other were truly contagious, making this wedding a joy to capture!
Personal Touches and Playful Moments
The Smiths incorporated their love story into every detail of their special day. As fellow dog lovers, they made sure to include their adorable pup in their portraits, and they even had adoptable puppies at the cocktail hour—how sweet is that!?
For a bit of fun, they pulled off a hilarious first-look prank: when the groom turned around expecting his beautiful bride, he found his best man instead! This lighthearted moment added so much fun to their day, and they followed it up with a meaningful first look with Liz’s sisters and bridesmaids. Even their champagne tower featured a custom bottle for The Smiths which was a hit among guests!
A Heartfelt Ceremony and Joyful Celebration
The ceremony couldn’t have been more touching. One of my favorite moments was when the officiant paused the time on a watch as Liz walked down the aisle, capturing the beauty of that moment for them. After the ceremony and a lively cocktail hour, The Smiths kicked off an unforgettable reception! Nick surprised everyone with a backflip as they entered (iconic, right?), setting the tone for a night filled with laughter, music, and celebration! It was one of the most fun receptions I’ve captured as a Kansas City Wedding Photographer with dueling pianos and guests of all ages dancing nonstop.
