Okay, can we just take a moment for how perfectly colorful and lively this wedding was? Cam and Cass kept things super sweet with over 250 of their closest friends and family to celebrate their love at 28 Event Space in The Kansas City Room. Honestly, I couldn’t be more obsessed. They went all in with a huge wedding party of 10 on each side. It made for such a fun day. The way they went table-to-table at the reception to take photos with every guest in just five minutes? Legendary. It made everything feel joyful, personal, and totally about them. This celebration is exactly why 28 Event Space in The Kansas City Room is one of my favorite Kansas City wedding venues.

28 Event Space in The Kansas City Room Is The Perfect Wedding Venue
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that can host a big celebration while keeping it stylish and personal, this is your spot. 28 Event Space in The Kansas City Room has high ceilings and an open layout that makes it perfect for capturing all the little moments that make your wedding unique. It’s one of those Kansas City wedding venues that can accommodate large gatherings without feeling overwhelming. The modern finishes paired with creative floral arrangements and thoughtful details made the whole day feel curated and filled with personality. It’s the perfect backdrop for candid, heartfelt photos that tell the story of your love.

A Colorful, Storybook Wedding
Cam and Cass truly were like a couple straight out of a romance novel. They grew up in the same neighborhood, knew each other as kids, reconnected in 2020, and fell in love. They literally have all the adorable childhood memories leading up to this day. I lost count of the times I looked over at my second shooter and just whispered, “Awwwww.” Cass, a nurse at Children’s Mercy, even got us access to the top of a parking garage for cityscape portraits. The views were breathtaking.

Sweet, Meaningful Details At This Kansas City Wedding Venue
Some of my favorite moments of the day were deeply personal and full of meaning. Cass honored Cam’s dad, who sadly passed away in 2020, with a heartfelt gift of a drawing of him and his dad in wedding attire. Their playful childhood nickname for each other, ‘Gator,’ also made an appearance on their cake with two little alligators perched on top. It was so personal and so sweet! And as a nod to their magical proposal at Universal Studios, Butter Beer flowed as a signature cocktail for guests. Every choice, from the personal touches to the little whimsical details, wove together a celebration that felt thoughtful and truly reflective of their love story. I was so honored to be a part of it.
