Unique Bridal Details & Tributes to Heritage
Meg was radiant on her wedding day! Not only did she wear a cathedral-length veil, but she also carried a “Bride” fan that perfectly encapsulated her. This charming accessory not only added a touch of playfulness but also served as a stylish way to beat the summer heat!
I also loved how Meg included her Nigerian Heritage. Joined by her sisters and mother, they applied their family’s perfume from Nigeria. This small yet significant gesture symbolized unity, heritage, and the profound connection between generations. They also incorporated a Nigerian blessing before they ate and a conga line while Nigerian music played to get the party started! How cool is that!?

I will forever cherish being able to capture this Nelson Atkins wedding. This was my very first opportunity to photograph the inside of this Kansas City MO wedding venue! It was so much fun to finally gain access to the inside of the museum since I have photographed the outside so often. Plus, Meg and Zach chose the absolute BEST vendors for this location! Playful Golden Hour Wedding Portraits
I know I was gushing over the inside of this Nelson Atkins wedding, but let’s not forget how beautiful the outside is too! I’ll never get over the gorgeous sunsets here. This spot is one of my favorites for capturing wedding portraits. The pure joy Meg and Zach share is so obvious in their photos! They were not afraid to be their authentic selves and be silly together which made this sunset shoot all the more fun!
A Joyful, Fun-Filled Reception
The dance floor came alive with energy as Meg and Zach danced the night away with their guests during the reception. Meg even belted out “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” by Fall Out Boy to close the night–what an iconic queen! Throughout the entire day, Meg and Zach’s authentic joy was evident to all. Their carefree laughter and playful interactions illuminated every moment. I had a hard time keeping my camera straight because I was laughing so hard!
