Olivia and Alex were my first wedding of 2021 and it was full of so much laughter and joy.

From the moment I met Olivia and Alex I absolutely adored them. They have such contagious personalities and wonderful spirits. There were so many highlights of their day so I’m just going to list some of my favorite moments.

Olivia and her girls got ready at Olivia and Alex’s home. They all did each other’s hair and makeup and they looked absolutely stunning. Also, Olivia’s dress reveal?! Not a dry eye.
Olivia had told Alex that it’s a tradition to write a note on the bottom of the bride’s shoe for them to read the day of. Alex, misunderstanding the concept, starting writing ON Olivia’s shoe with a permanent marker. Olivia laughed it off and told me it was “so Alex”. She wore the shoes anyway.
They did their first look at the Nelson Atkins Museum and read personalized letters to each other.
Their ceremony was SO emotional, oh my goodness. A good friend of theirs officiated the ceremony and she absolutely killed it.
Olivia and Alex LOVE to dance, and they were not afraid to get down and funky. Also, I want to shout out Olivia’s dance fitness business called Queen Vibes KC: “A wellness movement inspired by black girl magic.”
