Okay, can we just take a moment for how perfectly cozy this wedding was? Izzy and Daniel kept things super sweet with just about 30 of their closest friends and family to celebrate their love at the ever-charming No Vacancy Kansas City. Honestly, I couldn’t be more obsessed. They skipped the big wedding party and went with a ‘just us’ vibe for their portraits (which I LOVE). It made everything feel so relaxed, romantic, and totally about them. And let me tell you, Izzy hopping into the clawfoot tub in one of the hotel suites? Iconic. I was only there for about 4 hours, but it was more than enough to capture all the goodness of their day. And wow, was there goodness.

Why I’m So In Love With No Vacancy Kansas City

If you’re dreaming up a wedding that feels intimate, a little quirky, and super stylish, then this is your spot. No Vacancy Kansas City has the coolest vibe with bold floral wallpaper, vintage mirrors, funky furniture, and that tub I mentioned earlier (still not over it). The whole space feels like stepping into a modern-day art piece, which makes it the dream backdrop for couples who want their big day to feel personal and totally unique. It’s honestly made for micro weddings like this one. It was the perfect spot for a quaint wedding celebration, full of energy without feeling like you’re in a big traditional venue.

Boba, Brigadeiros & Nerdy Convos? Yes, Please

Izzy and Daniel added such a sweet touch by surprising their guests with boba tea and homemade Brazilian sweet treats to the end of the evening. I got to chat with many of the guests who were so fun because they were all equally as nerdy as myself and the couple. Everyone had a favorite anime ready to talk to you about, and dungeon and dragon campaigns to recall. It felt more like a gathering of old friends than a formal wedding reception, and it was such a genuinely lovely way to spend a Saturday night — full of joy, sweet treats, and shared fandoms.

Where to Host The Micro Wedding of Your Dreams

Let this be your sign… No Vacancy Kansas City is the place for a cozy, colorful and totally unique celebration. This venue has a way of instantly making everything feel personal whether you’re into antique touches and bright colors, or just want a spot that feels like you. This venue delivers. From the moment you walk in it’s got that effortlessly cool vibe, like a perfectly curated Pinterest board brought to life, but with real personality. Plus, it’s got the perfect mix of charm and character for those candid, in the moment photos I live for.
