I adore every aspect of these venues, from the getting-ready suites to the timeless interiors and the top-notch services. I’m always thrilled to capture a wedding at any of these Kansas City wedding venues. Let’s get into it!
The Austin
The Austin is industrial-chic perfection, offering an incredible mix of unique backdrops for your big day. It doesn’t take much decor for a stunning wedding here–the venue does most of the work for you! I’m obsessed with the gorgeous bar area. And those blue accented walls? I mean, come on! Each time I shoot a wedding here, I’m blown away by how well they care for their couples. The Austin has a way of turning every celebration into something truly unforgettable.
La Villa
I might be a little biased when it comes to La Villa, but it will always hold a special place in my heart–it’s where my husband and I celebrated our big day (pictured above!). The historic Spanish architecture and minimal white walls couldn’t be more perfect. With my wedding being in August, having plenty of indoor options for photos was so important, and the same goes for winter weddings here as well. The indoor space is so beautiful with natural light shining through the windows. I also absolutely adore the courtyard area! The green accents and string lights make for the most romantic couple portraits. Compared to other Kansas City wedding venues, La Villa also offers shorter day options, making it a great choice for elopements. It’s such a versatile space, and I love seeing how couples make it their own!
Hotel Kansas City
Next up we have Hotel Kansas City! From the stunning staircase and chandelier to the outdoor architecture, this venue just screams elegance. This location has everything you need, so there’s no need to travel for more photos. Also, I must say, this hotel offers the BEST food! I’ll never get over Sarah and Jack’s wedding here! If luxury is your vibe, you won’t regret having your special day at Hotel Kansas City!
Simpson House
The Simpson House is an elegant venue loaded with variety! The timeless stone mansion and lush gardens make for the most romantic setting for a wedding. It’s close to downtown and the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art if you’d like more options for photo spots. Riley and Cooper had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and reception then moved their guests inside for a night of dancing! As a Kansas City photographer, I just adore all the unique spaces this venue provides. And can we talk about that gorgeous sunroom? With so much history and charm, you’re sure to fall in love with the Simpson House!
The Legacy at Green Hills
I speak for every Kansas City Photographer when I say The Legacy at Green Hills is an absolute dream! This venue has the most breathtaking grounds for your wedding photos. And the owner, Alex, is so exceptional! She truly cares about you and will help bring your wedding inspiration to life. This space is entirely outside, making it the perfect spring or fall wedding venue. There is a lovely covered area that would be great for ceremonies and receptions as well. I’m still swooning over Robby and Jayden’s wedding day! There was so much joy and love shared. I couldn’t have picked a better venue for this couple.
