Your Guide to Loose Mansion in Kansas City

Loose Mansion is simply stunning. You’ll find it in the heart of Kansas City, and it also happens to be close to the Armour Boulevard KC Streetcar stop. It is a gorgeous, fully restored property with a rich history dating back to 1907, and once you set foot in this property, you’ll fall in love with it.

The venue can accommodate up to 200+ guests, depending on how much of the mansion you want to utilize! You can pick and choose which levels of the mansion you’d like to use, which makes it perfect for you if you want to plan a grand, glamorous affair in an elegant space, but it can also host a much smaller, intimate celebration.

The mansion has four floors that consist of a main floor where you can have your ceremony, the middle floors, which have plenty of space and private rooms for getting ready, a basement you can use for your cocktail hour (or you can use the patio roof), and a top floor which can be used for dancing.

One of the standout features of Loose Mansion is that it is also an all-inclusive wedding venue, and you can ensure that every aspect of your wedding will be taken care of, from the planning and event design, the menu, setup, and teardown, and so much more! For a full breakdown of everything they offer as part of their all-inclusive package, go here!

Loose Mansion also has 15,000 square feet of space designed for entertaining, gorgeous, glittering chandeliers, fireplaces, hand-carved mahogany woodwork, and more to offer you and your guests. It is the perfect venue if you’re looking for elegance, glamour, and creating an unforgettable experience.

Your ceremony

For your ceremony in Loose Mansion, there are several different location options you can choose from, including in front of the beautiful Grand Salon fireplace, the third-level ballroom, or the second-level portico.

The Carriage House

Your experience at Loose Mansion doesn’t have to end after your reception. Another incredible feature of this venue is that it also offers on-site accommodations at a charming B&B called The Carriage House.

The Carriage House has two suites and five bedrooms, and your stay also includes a continental breakfast. It’s a great option for you and your wedding party if you don’t want to have to worry about booking a hotel or airbnb off site, as you’ll be able to have everything you need all in one place!

How much does a wedding at Loose Mansion cost?

The answer? It depends. Starting prices for a ceremony at Loose Mansion begin at $1000, and for your reception at $5000. The final price is influenced by what you choose to include in your day.

Ravi and Ashly’s Fall Wedding at Loose Mansion

Ravi and Ashly planned a gorgeous September wedding at Loose Mansion. When I think back on this day, what made this wedding truly special was how Ravi’s Indian culture was woven into their celebration.

During the ceremony, they said sacred vows to each other called the Saat Phere or The Seven Vows, which include: nourishment, strength, prosperity, family & harmony, progeny, longevity & health, and friendship & loyalty. This was the first time I had ever heard these vows exchanged, and they were beautiful to witness and learn more about.

At their reception, Ravi, Ashly, and their guests enjoyed some yummy Indian food. Seriously, some of the best food I’ve had at a wedding! I always admire when couples find thoughtful ways to integrate their backgrounds and cultures into their wedding and honor their heritage.

Whatmakes this couple and their story really unique is that I actually met the groom, Ravi, through playing a video game.

We, and a handful of other people invited to the wedding, have all played World of Warcraft together (even to this day) for the last 5+ years. Ravi knew I photographed weddings and engagements, and reached out to ask me to photograph his proposal to his fiancée, Ashly! This was the first time I met people I played with online in person! It was crazy, but I love that I now have this story to tell!

I was truly able to capture their wedding in such a candid way, and I loved every second of it. Ravi and Ashly had this to say about their experience with me:

“Kelsey was amazing! She helped organize the wedding day in a way that made it significantly less stressful. She completely understood what we hold to be important on our day and captured those moments perfectly.”
