Where else should you get married but where you first met?
I met Kiley and Trent earlier in 2017 when Trent asked me to photograph his proposal to Kiley in the middle of January in Lawrence, Kansas. Since then, they asked me to document their small wedding taken place on September 30th, 2017 at the small Danforth Chapel on the University of Kansas campus. I jumped on the chance to document their love again.
But Kiley had a little surprise to share with me!
A few months before the wedding, Kiley emailed me to tell me she was pregnant with a little girl! I was so happy for the both of them and all I could think about leading up to the wedding was photographing Kiley and her baby bump! I was so excited to document such a pivotal moment in their lives, not only getting married, but the beginning of their family! Can we just note how perfect Kiley’s dress is?!
With about 20 of their closest family and friends, Kiley and Trent tied the knot!
I showed up early in the morning, and stayed for about two hours, and let me tell you, a lot of emotion can happen in that short amount of time. We immediately did the first look, which let me tell you, I’m glad I had a camera covering my face. Trent could not stop smiling at Kiley from the moment he saw her. Then, the ceremony started shortly after and when they exchanged vows, there was not a dry eye in the house. After saying “I do”, we took some gorgeous portraits around KU campus.
From the writing of this blog post, their baby girl Harper will soon enter this world. I cannot wait to meet her! Thank you again Kiley and Trent for letting me document your special day.
