Affordable Wedding Venues Kansas City: Your Guide to The Brim
You’ll find The Brim in the countryside, and the venue’s charming chapel is on top of a hill. Even though the venue is out in the countryside, it’s just a short drive away from downtown Kansas City and the airport making it easy to get to whether you are local or have people coming in from out of town. The venue is private, but still conveniently located, and it can accommodate up to 150 people total.
The Brim is perfect if you and your partner know that you don’t want all the bells and whistles that come with planning (and spending a lot of money) on your wedding. It’s ideal for you if you want a short and sweet wedding that is affordable, but you can also have a longer wedding here if that’s more of what you’re looking for.
I’ve found that The Brim has their entire wedding process down to an exact science, and it’s very easy for you to tie the knot here.
The Brim also has a very unique setup, as you and your partner can get married for “free” in this beautiful space. I want to emphasize that while you can get married for free, the venue typically hosts multiple weddings a day, which means that couples are cycling in and out of the venue every weekend and even during the week
To keep everything operating smoothly, The Brim does have strict in and out rules. They also have a lot of ways you can customize your weddings, but there are things that do come at an extra charge.

The Brim Wedding Package Options
Here’s a quick overview of the different options you can choose from if you choose to plan your wedding here. For more info on each option, go here! Also, for all of these options, they do have add-ons that you can purchase for your day à la carte if there’s something else you want to know that you want to include. To see the full list of their à la carte options, go here!
Free 2-hour ceremony
This option is only available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and comes with a two-hour rental for just your ceremony, use of the chapel, and use of the restrooms in the reception space. Please note that this option only comes with the ceremony, and nothing else is included.
$600 ceremonies
This option is available every Saturday and might be the perfect option for you if you want to keep your day short, sweet, and affordable. Although it might be tough to secure a Saturday!
Cake and toast receptions
The cake, toast, and full reception packages include a complimentary ceremony within the time slot that you choose. Cake and toast receptions are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays for $700 and on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for $950, and this package is for 3 hours!
After your ceremony, you and your guests will be able to enjoy a small reception with drinks and desserts. This is a great option if you want something a little more than just the ceremony, but don’t want the full reception party!
Full reception
This package is the most comprehensive one that the venue offers, as it includes a ceremony, 7-hour rental, and the use of the venue’s reception space and all of its amenities. The price for this package depends on the day you choose; during the week, the price is lower compared to the weekend.

Weddings at The Brim in Kansas City
I wanted to give a behind-the-scenes look at two weddings I’ve photographed at The Brim! For me, it’s interesting to see the comparisons between these two celebrations and see how they both used The Brim in different ways for their weddings to make their day unique to them.
Even though these couples both chose to have their weddings in the summer at the same venue, their celebrations looked entirely different, as Cody and Lindsey’s wedding was bright with pops of color, and Megan and Seth’s wedding was whimsical and included more pastel colors.
Cody and Lindsey’s Summer Wedding at The Brim
Cody and Lindsey planned a gorgeous summer wedding at The Brim. They used the getting-ready room on-site and chose to have a ceremony in The Brim’s chapel. They also did wedding toasts and cake-cutting at the venue.
This was truly a short and sweet wedding, as their wedding day was only a few hours long. A wedding like Cody and Lindsey’s at The Brim is perfect if you still want a little bit of wedding tradition in your day, but you don’t want your wedding to be an all-out, all-day affair.

Megan and Seth’s July Wedding at The Brim
Like Cody and Lindsey, Megan and Seth also planned a dreamy summer wedding at The Brim. However, M + S chose to have a full wedding at the property! The catch was that it was on a Thursday, so they were able to have a full wedding day during the week.
That’s what truly makes this venue so special, because they host weddings alllll week long, giving you so much flexibility when it comes to choosing your wedding day. M + S also used the getting-ready room on-site and had their ceremony in The Brim’s chapel. They also used The Brim’s reception space and planned their entire wedding day from start to finish at this venue.
