Getting engaged is one of the most exciting chapters of your love story, and I’m here to capture all the intimate details that make your relationship special. During our session together, you can expect it to feel more like a fun date night rather than an engagement photoshoot. We’ll have time for two outfit changes and visit up to two locations, giving you plenty of variety. Plus, I’ll send you at least a dozen sneak peeks within 48 hours so you can get your save-the-dates sent out right away! Woohoo!

How to Feel Confident and Look Amazing in Every Shot
My secret for looking amazing in every shot? Being yourself! You can count on me to make sure you both look your absolute best. I’ll guide you when needed, but I encourage all the chaos and loving on each other in unprompted ways. This is a judgment-free zone, so go ahead and dance, laugh until you cry, and be unapologetically yourself! I’ll be honest, you might feel a little weird in the beginning, but I promise as the session goes on, it’ll feel more natural and you’ll have the best time with the love of your life!
As for outfits, wear something comfortable that you would normally wear. If you have two outfits planned for your session, I suggest a casual outfit and a date night option. But ultimately, wear what makes you feel the most confident! For my couples, I send them a guide on all things outfits, locations, and vibes! You can view the full rundown here.

How to Make Your Engagement Photoshoot Uniquely Yours
Let’s think outside of the box when planning your engagement photoshoot! Incorporating personal details or meaningful locations is the best way to represent your unique love story. We can even plan a fun activity—I’m all for it! Before a session, I like to brainstorm ideas with my couples to really set their photos apart and magnify their love for each other. Take a look at previous couples portraits I’ve captured for inspiration!
Engagement Photoshoot Inspiration

Jennifer and Andrew’s engagement photoshoot at Union Station was so much fun! Jennifer was full of ideas to incorporate into their session. She was willing to climb on benches and run up and down escalators. And of course, they brought their adorable dog, Bruno. Their playful photos truly reflect the joy of their love!

Lindsey and Cody wanted to have some fun at Up-Down Arcade Bar before dressier photos at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. How cool is that!? I’m always down for an exciting location like this! I can also help come up with settings that will perfectly reflect the vibe you’re going for.

For Riley and Cooper’s engagement photoshoot, we first stopped by a bar for a drink before heading to Bartle Hall for luxury portraits. I loved how they provided their own champagne with glasses. They were all down to spray it everywhere. This was an evening full of fun, letting their personalities shine! They were not afraid to love on each other. You never need my permission to do something adorable in front of me.

Lastly, for Katie & Josh, including their sweet dogs in their session was an absolute must! Especially since Katie is a vet, their pets are so important to them. (Furry friends are always welcome around here!) Before their casual photos at Loose Park, we took elegant photos of just the two of them.
